Writing is easy, right?

I know that some of you will find ‘creating content’ – bits for your blog, Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest, YouTube etc. – or writing a really daunting task so here are a few of my tips to help you create content that ‘pops’ and that helps you reach those business goals.

1. Think about the message + what you want to say

A good piece of writing, especially when it comes to online content is concise and has direction. You need to make sure that your message is right in front of the reader and that they understand what it is that you want them to take from your latest bit of content.

2. Think about how you might say this in other ways

Content sin’t just about writing, think about how you might be able to share your message visually, through video or an image.

3. Remove the padding

No one wants to spend hours reading through or watching your content. Once you’ve written and created it, take a step back and strike out anything that doesn’t need to be there. Keep it on point, succinct and awesome.

4. Remember that all of your content forms the whole picture, not just this one piece

Your content should give just enough to potential customers to leave them wanting more. They will understand the foundations of your vision and mission and want to return to find out more about you, your business and connect with both of you further.
