Raising awareness through social media | The Surbiton Food Festival
Raising awareness through social media
The Surbiton Food Festival is an annual event that takes place across 16 days during May in Surbiton, South West London. The Festival was developed to celebrate the great food and drink offerings in the area and is produced each year by a core team of volunteers. In 2016 (and previous years) I worked with the team to raise awareness of the festival and its events through social media and other, more traditional PR activities.
What a delight to work with Bobi – professional, friendly, supportive, informative and a deliverer. Her extensive knowledge and experience in social media and communications make her ideal for anyone with business ambitions.
Robin Hutchinson, Director of The Community Brain
Following previous years of events, the team were looking to not only make the community aware of the festival in 2016 but develop a bank of images that could be used to in promotional activities in future years. To support this, I developed a strategy for Instagram that encouraged those attending events to share their photos.
The campaign proved a huge success, collating images for the future and encouraging the community to engage with the festival online as well as offline.
